The Daffodils (18.04.18)
As I type this it looks as if we may finally be about to experience a touch of Spring (fingers crossed).
The ladies of Swinford W.I. hope that you have been enjoying the "fruits of our labours" as you drive along the Rugby Road either entering or leaving the village.
We feel that the daffodils which we planted way back last Autumn have put on a fabulous display for us all.
Our next plan is to "fill in the gaps" along that stretch of the road.
So watch out for us all in September, please!!!

A little more about the W.I.
The W.I. was founded over a hundred years ago in Canada. The first branch in the U.K. was established at Llanfair on Anglesey.
It was originally intended to provide an opportunity for country women to go out and socialise, now it is a huge organisation which has many members and meets many needs, within communities.
Every year the W.I. as a National Organisation runs various campaigns to highlight many issues as diverse as the plight of the bumble bee to Mental Health Issues.
